Everyone knows the benefits of meditation, mindful breathing and quieting the mind, but many people feel overwhelmed at the thought of learning how to meditate. Guided meditation makes it easier to get started because it takes a lot of the mental legwork away from the novice. All forms of meditation are growing in popularity, thanks to their potential mental and physical benefits such as better quality of sleep and improved mental health. Meditation’s use has more than tripled, going from 4.1 percent in 2012 to 14.2 percent in 2017, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And with anxiety and fear stoked by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, even more people are giving meditation a try. Come sit with me and we will go on journeys around the world, learn how to breathe for first aid AND weight loss and transition into easily quieting your mind.
